Supported IP PBX and Legacy PBXs (with IP Gateway) supported integration Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS 2007) and Exchange Server 2007 Unified Communications Features

Integrating Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging with PBXs requires that you use one or more IP gateways to translate the circuit-switched protocols that are used by TDM-based PBXs to IP-based, packet-switched protocols that are used by Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging. Currently, two IP gateway vendors with several models of IP gateways have been tested and are supported for Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging.

Office Communications Server 2007 and Exchange 2007 PBX Integration supported using a direct SIP connection (no PBX IP gateway needed)

IP PBXs are also supported by Microsoft Unified Messaging. Below table shows the IP PBXs that are supported using a direct SIP connection to Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS 2007) and Exchange Server 2007 unified communications features such as Cisco CCM.
